A text has purposed to make a reader catches the aim of the text. There are many written text that is not following the purpose of the text. Because of without purpose, it can be called bad text. The reader will be confused in reading this text.  And actually, it can make the reader difficult searching the information of the text.  The text will be ambiguous that has many different information.

The purpose  of the text is very important in the text. If there is a text that is not mentioned the kind of the text, and we will know the name of the text based of the contents that is followed by the purpose. Example, Abi writes a story about their experience when He went to Lombok last holiday,  suddenly the teacher asked about the type of the text. So that, from reading Abi's story other students could answer that is a recount text because Abi told about his experience in the past. As we know that the purpose of recount text is retell the past event or past experience in chronological sequence.

Well... The texts have their own purposes, they are not only giving information, but also give the purpose  to the reader. The written text are not just the line of words or phrase, it includes the meaning that makes the reader take the conclusion.
