Example Job Interview Questions and Answer

Here are the example of Job Interview question and the answer.  It is the example of Interview between Miss Arifta as Interviewer (Someone who give questions) and Miss Astri as an Interviewee (Someone who is interviewed). This story about, Miss Astri is interviewed because she applied the job vacancy as a teacher. So, Miss Arifta interviews her. Here are some conversations of the job interview question and the answers.

Interviewee            : Miss Astri Yuslita Irianti

Arifta    : What can you tell me about yourself?

Astri      :My name is Astri Yuslita Irianti, and my friends call me tita. I was born in Magelang, Febuary 13^th 1992. I live in, Mungkid, Magelang. I am a college student in Tidar Magelang University. I take  English Department Faculty of Education and teacher training.

Arifta  :What languages do you speak?

Astri    :First, I speak mother language. It is Javanese, and then I speak Indonesian, and third I can speak English.

Arifta :Do you prefer working as member of team or would work by alone?

Astri    : I am equally comfortable working as a member of a team and independently. In researching the LMN Company, your mission statement and the job description, I could see similarities to my previous position where there were some assignments that required a great deal of independent work and research and others where the team effort was most effective. As I said, I'm comfortable with the both.

In high school, I enjoyed playing volley ball and performing with the theatre group. Each required a different kind of team play, but the overall goal of learning to be a member of a group was invaluable. I continued to grow as team member while on my sorority's debate team. I'm very comfortably working on a team, but I can also work independently, as well.

Arifta  :How often do you lost your temper?

Astri    : Everyone loses their temper sometime or the other. When people make false commitments, back stabs someone or make mistakes purposely, that’s what makes me upset. I try not to raise voice in an argument, instead first try to make a friendly approach. I go out of way and try to understand the reason for the problem. If  the mistakes are done purposely then I do take a stern action.

Arifta :How have you benefited of disappointment?

Astri   : I think,  the benefit of disappointment is  we can change our mind from A to B. And it is not good if we just always disappointed and do not think the changing or problem solving.

Arifta :What do you think if you do the best?

Astri   : Yes, I think that I do the best. I will do my work with spirit and energy in my mind and also my body. I want to move from one position to better position.

Arifta :Do you work well under the pleasure?

Astri   : Yes, I work well under the pleasure, because It make me spirit and work well.

Arifta :What do you do when you have trouble/problem solving?

Astri   : I will choose the best problem solving that I have taught in my mind, I will search the best problem solving to make everything is better.

Arifta :How long will you stay in this company?

Astri   :  I will stay in this company as long as can stand in this company, when my body and my mind want to stay here.

Arifta :What are your long term carrier objective?

Astri   : I have some short term and long term career goals in my life. In short term goals, I want to get a challenging and innovative job in the international market according to my idea and my skills, which helps me to learn and to grow professionally. In long term goals, I want to improve my knowledge and professional skills in the upcoming technologies and to achieve such a position which worth according to my experience and knowledge.
My long-term goals are towards making a positive impact in the company though my expertise and ethics. I also look forward to develop myself in leadership areas through experience and training offered by the company.

Arifta :Tell me why this company should be hire you?

Astri   : Because I  will work well, and It is same that we study and get knowledge,  making friend, and get new  family.


 

Arifta :What qualification do you have that make you feel that you should be higher over the other?

Astri   :  I like reading very much so I think that I have benefit from reading. I know the outside of world and human thinking. So, I like studying a new thing, and I would like to  use my time to work rather than just spend for day dreaming. I like productive time. If  get the duty, I will finish well, as fast as I can do. I am diligent person.

Arifta :What do you consider your greatest weaknesses that we should know about?

Astri   :  I ride my motorcycle slowly, sometimes I just do everything well, I don’t like lazy person. So, I always have a big emotion to someone who doesn’t use their time effectively.

Arifta :Describe attempt when you :

a.      Worked well under pleasure?

Astri: When I worked well is the best choice. Because we will have big spirit and I will be not lazy (dilligent) from the pleasuring.Sometime, pleasure is needed for making us work well.

b.      Motivated and lead other?

            I like to be motivated by the other, their smile and happiness are my hapinness too. It seems clearly and makes everyone change the best. I will lead  the other when I know the direction or final destination in working, If I am more understand with the formula to solve the problems, I will give the direction to make everything better. So, It makes us finish the work quickly and well.  

Arifta :How have your extracurricular activities?

Astri   : I take extracurricular  a Muslim group in my college. We always study about religion.

Arifta :Part time work experience, or volunteer work experience prepared for work in our company?

Astri   :I have work parttime and it is very interesting work because I can study about everything about working.

Arifta :What is important to you in job?

Astri   : Important to my in job is I will have many experience and have new family in this job. I will become someone who lucky here.

Arifta :What interests you knows about this job?

Astri   :  I  am interested with this job because about education. I like learning, studying and teaching-learning process, so I do like become facilitator in this job.

Arifta :What are your salary expectations?

Astri   : It’s a fact that money is an important factor and there cannot be any life without it. For me money as well as job satisfaction both matters and until both are there I cannot work well. To me, work ethics and honesty matters to me equally which defines me as a person as dedicated part of any organization.

Arifta :Are you willing to take some drug tests before we discuss employment after?

Astri   : I think it is never mind, if I must take some drug test because I never use negative drug before.

Arifta :Why do you went to leave your present job?

Astri   : After working there for three years, I have learned a great deal about the company and the ways we conduct business. As much as I enjoy the relationships with my co-workers, it is time for me to move to a more progressive organization with more opportunities and challenges that can offer me continued professional growth.”\

Arifta :What your opinion with supervisor or manager?

Astri   : Supervisor is Higher than me so we must give respect to the other.

Arifta :How do you spend your spare time?

Astri   :I spend my spare time to reading a book, literature, comic to refresh my mind, sometimes I am hanging out with my friend.

Arifta :What are your hobbies?

Astri   : My hobbies are reading and drawing. I like drawing very much, because I like manga, so I like drawing Manga.

Arifta :What are your short/long term carrier plans?

Astri   : One of the best ways to say that “I give my level best in any work that I do. I collect all the data that is required to accomplish a task, yes time factor is an important consideration so I also keep an eye on the time. Most often I complete my work in time and with the perfection that is assigned to me. To be very honest, it is not possible to meet every work within the time limit but most often I meet it."

Arifta :What positions do you plan to have in five years time?

Astri   :  I just want to be higher than before. I want to become someone who better than before with my hard work and pray. If I have been a teacher, I want to be head master or senior teacher who can teach the students well.

Arifta :How long do you think you would stay with us if you were appointed?

Astri   :  I will stay as long as I can. I hope that It is better and God’s destiny.

Arifta :How could you say that this job is suitable for you?

Astri   :  I will do hard with always remember God that always besides me. I will adapted in my new place and then I will do this job carefully and well. I love teaching, In here I can transfer my knowledge, I can be a facilitator and teach the cute students.
